Facilities
Cottages
are equipped with a washing machine, television, and cleaning
equipment, kitchenware, etc... as standard. Bedlinen and towels are provided. Most cottages have a drying
room or area.
Reception
Due
to the mountains and remote nature of our cottages, television and
mobile telephone reception is variable but generally usable.
Water supply
The
cottages are fed by a private water supply. Due to the water
being sourced from the mountains, heavy rain and other environmental
factors can affect it. Currently, water feeding the kitchen sink in each
cottage is purified with an ultraviolet filter. Water from the
bathroom basins should, as normal, not be used for drinking or food, or
brushing teeth. Some guests prefer to use bottled water, and a
complimentary bottle is provided on your arrival.
The water supply is being upgraded to conform to current EU standards.
Drainage
Drainage
is not mains drainage and therefore the system cannot compete with
sanitary ware, babies' nappies, or biological washing powders. Only
items labelled 'safe for septic tanks' may be used.
